Kenneth McClain has established himself as a pioneering trial attorney in complex litigation against major industries. Early in his career, McClain became one of the first attorneys nationally to challenge Big Tobacco, negotiating what is believed to be the first confidential settlement with Liggett Group in 1996. He later represented former Lucky Strike model Janet Sackman in a groundbreaking tobacco lawsuit that forced industry disclosure of internal documents revealing knowledge of addiction and health risks.

McClain blazed trails in “popcorn lung” litigation, winning a $20 million jury verdict in 2004 for Missouri factory worker Eric Peoples, who suffered severe lung disease from butter-flavoring chemical exposure. His team secured several subsequent multimillion-dollar awards for affected workers and consumers.
