Venus Jackson serves as a guardian ad litem and has been heavily involved in efforts to shape statewide GAL policies. Jackson has served on a special committee of GALs that submitted a report on proposed legislative changes to the work that GALs do in advocating for children in family court proceedings, as well as on a Missouri Supreme Court committee that established new standards for GALs.
A former court appointed special advocate for St. Louis County, she also has served on the executive committees of the Mound City Bar Association and the St. Louis County Bar Association.
