Christy May-Matthews knows the legal system inside and out.

With more than 20 years of experience as a paralegal was well as a legal assistant and court reporter, May-Matthews brings her background knowledge and experience to cases ranging from toxic tort matters to asbestos claims to railroad cases.

“She has really taken ownership of the cases and makes sure that everything is where it should be, when it should be,” her nominator wrote. “She is a great team player and effective communicator. She is not afraid to speak up or follow up when something needs to get done. Yet, she always does it with a friendly demeanor.”

Before joining Husch Blackwell in 2019, May-Matthews worked for several St. Louis-area law firms and also spent time in-house with an oil company. It reinforced her sense of urgency, she said, and she regards the need to get back to clients right away as part of what she loves most about her job.
