The POWER List: Daniel C. Berezoski

When an attorney at Husch Blackwell is assigned to represent indigent parties in Jackson County Family Court, Dan Berezoski is there to help.

Berezoski’s practice is entirely focused on pro bono family law matters, ranging from representing indigent parents in adoptions, handling cases involving termination of parental rights, child abuse and neglect, helping juveniles in delinquency cases and serving as a guardian ad litem.

He works on the family court’s Judicial Engagement Team and helped create tutorial videos to guide attorneys who have been appointed to family law cases but may not be well-versed in that area of the law.

Before joining Husch Blackwell in 2015, he was a juvenile officer in Jackson County and a hearing officer for the Department of Social Services-Division of Legal Services.

He serves as a member of Jackson County’s Juvenile Court Advisory Panel and on the board of directors of the Kansas City Youth Court. In 2021, he received an Impact of the Year Award from the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges.

Berezoski earned his law degree in 2010 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
