Jacqueline Ledezma-Ruelas joined the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office in 2021 after a stint in law school that involved participation in a Criminal Prosecution Clinic and travel to South Africa to study other justice systems.

Ledezma-Ruelas has served as Chair of the Board of Advocates and regional president of the Hispanic National Bar Association. Later, she’d be inducted into the Order of Barristers. Actively engaged with the state bar, she was selected to participate in its Leadership Academy. In March, she was tapped to be a speaker in the Missouri Bar’s annual Street Law Professional Development Workshop focused on the First Amendment and social media.

In her work as a prosecutor, Ledezma-Ruelas has focused her attention primarily on the prosecution of offenders who have been charged with crimes against children as well as assaults, rapes, elder abuse and domestic violence matters.

Ledezma-Ruelas has also previously worked as a law clerk for TGH Litigation, a firm specializing in employment and civil rights matters.
