Katherine Vojas is one of few people who can brag that she’s visited all 30 MLB stadiums.

But it is in the legal arena where she shows off her own Major League talent. Focusing her practice on litigation and the defense of major hospitals, doctors, nurses and other professionals, she has displayed skill in formulating strategies for everything from discovery processes to settlement negotiations. Named as the secretary for Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis Women in the Legal Profession Board and a member of the Defense Research Institute’s Medical Malpractice Steering Committee, she recently represented a health care client in a case with a $5 million jury ask and had to wait only half an hour for a defense verdict.

What inspired you to get involved in the legal profession?

Growing up in a low-income family and witnessing my parents attend community college later in life ingrained in me a deep respect for education and resilience. Although my family and I didn’t know any attorneys personally, I was drawn to the variety law can provide and ultimately the courtroom’s blend of storytelling and persuasion.
