Wensdai Brooks’ advice for young lawyers is to never be afraid to ask questions. She says, sometimes, the smallest questions can lead to the biggest answers, and it’s always worth asking if it will help you learn.

Captivated by the complexity and ever-evolving nature of the law, Brooks says her passion for helping people and making a positive impact in her community made pursuing a legal career the right choice for her.

What is your favorite thing to do away from work?

Hiking — my current goal is to hike through every National Park in the United States. So far I’ve completed 20 out of 63.

What is your biggest accomplishment this year?

Being asked to present a CLE to over 250 practicing attorneys on the ethical considerations they need to make when incorporating the use of AI into their legal practices. As a first-year attorney, presenting CLEs was never something I thought I’d have the opportunity to do and I was so honored and excited to have the chance to do so early on in my career.
