Michael Figenshau cites his biggest accomplishment of the year as when he second-chaired two jury trials in one month in a notoriously difficult venue. In the first, he says, he has the privilege of conducting their client’s direct examination and in the second, he helped pick a jury.

When he’s not working, Figenshau can be found on the slopes as an avid skier. He plans to visit Jackson Hole, Alta and Aspen this season.

What has been your favorite moment as an attorney?

Shortly after settling her case, a client referred to me a matter involving her close friend’s husband. I had served as the client’s primary contact, and the referral spoke volumes about her appreciation and satisfaction.

What inspired you to get involved in the legal profession?

One episode featured Mr. Bob Ritter, one of our retired partners, for his representation of a St. Louis-area woman who was wrongfully convicted of killing her infant son.
