A 36-year-old Kansas City woman injured in an October 2024 two-car collision has settled a personal injury claim with the other driver’s insurer — and her own — for a total of $94,000.

According to a Kansas City Police Department report, was driving her 2015 Honda Odyssey on northbound Grandview Road when she was struck by a 2019 Alpha Romeo GT6 traveling westbound and driven by John Pevy Jr., 66, of Belton.

Sharff told police that Pevy ran a red light; traffic cameras at the intersection confirmed Pevy’s liability, said Kansas City plaintiff’s attorney Jared Brown, who represented Sharff.

Records provided by Brown show that Sharff received a $25,000 payment in early February from Root Insurance Cos (Pevy’s insurer) for bodily injuries, followed by a $69,000 payment the following month from Cincinnati Insurance Cos. through her own uninsured motorists’ coverage.
