Husch Blackwell wins CLOC award for legal innovation
Staff Report//June 9, 2020//
The Corporate Legal Operations Consortium has selected Husch Blackwell as one of three firms nationwide to win its 2020 Legal Innovation in Operations Project.
Husch’s submission focused on the firm’s management of the Marley-Wylain Company’s portfolio of asbestos-related litigation.
After just 10 months in operation, the team’s results vastly outperformed the client’s prior efforts, including a reduction in legal costs of more than 30 percent.
The firm’s information technology professionals developed the “HB Vault,” a digital environment that manages data spanning hundreds of fields for thousands of claims. It includes a file system compatible with client resources that syncs with Husch Blackwell’s proprietary e-billing portal.
