bauer Jeff Bauer, a 1997 graduate of Notre Dame Law School, joined what is now Strong-Garner-Bauer in 2000. He has been a shareholder since 2004.

As part of one of southwestern Missouri’s most prominent trial firms, Bauer concentrates on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, product liability and insurance bad faith cases.

Examples include helping secure a $2.1 million verdict in 2014 for a woman fell at the edge of a sidewalk disability access ramp at a Springfield restaurant and a $12.6 million award in 2006 for a man who was paralyzed after he fell from his sister’s roof while trying to remove a fallen tree limb.

Bauer also defends cases on appeal. Along with law partner and fellow POWER List honoree Steve Garner, he argued the 2010 Missouri Supreme Court case Deck v. Teasley, an important case for guiding how medical bills can be submitted to a jury.

Bauer has served in both the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association, as well as on the Supreme Court’s special committee on complex litigation.
