He has overseen Husch Blackwell Strategies’ expansion to state capitols in Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Texas, Wisconsin, Arizona and Colorado. His clients include tech giants like Dell and Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), the BNSF Railway Company and Kansas City Southern Railway, and various professional associations including the Missouri Hospital Association.
In 2018, Blunt helped to found Husch Blackwell Strategies, the government relations firm where he now works as chairperson and chief operating officer.
He’s the son of U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt and the brother of Amy Blunt, a fellow POWER LIST honoree and the principal of Husch Blackwell Strategies, as well as former Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt.
From 2016 to 2018, Blunt previously founded and chaired the lobbying firm Statehouse Strategies. He also created and managed the public policy and lobbying practice the firm Schreimann, Rackers, Francka & Blunt, where he was also a founding partner.
Blunt earned his law degree from the University of Missouri in 2001.
