After a long career in public service, Mike Gibbons helped form GibbonsWorkman in 2014 with fellow lawyer-lobbyist (and fellow POWER list honoree) Tricia Workman.
Gibbons was a city councilman in Kirkwood before he was elected as a Republican to the Missouri House in 1992 and to the Missouri Senate in 2000. He was president pro tem of the Senate from 2005 to 2008, when he made a run for state attorney general.
Gibbons earned his law degree from Saint Louis University in 1984. He was part of a small legal practice in Kirkwood with his father before he joined what is now Stinson in 2005.
Gibbons’ lobbying covers fields ranging from agriculture and biotech to education and local governments. Examples include Associated General Contractors of Missouri, Bayer, Centene, John Deere, The Doe Run Company, Peabody Energy and the Missouri Charter Public Schools Association.
