Both an attorney and a certified public accountant, she counsels clients in civil tax examinations, appeals and litigation, and she also represents clients in criminal tax investigations and defends clients in criminal matters.
Schwerin is active in the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, which in 2017 gave her its Outstanding Young Professional award. She also was named as a Nolan Fellow of the American Bar Association’s Taxation Section in 2014.
She was a member of the Missouri Bar Leadership Academy from 2013 to 2014 and an inaugural member of the Digital Currency and Ledger Defense Coalition.
She also is vice chair of the Board of Police Commissioners for the St. Louis County Police Department.
Schwerin earned her law degree in 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis and is an adjunct professor in the school’s tax LL.M. program.
