The 22nd Circuit Judicial Commission announced the demographic information of candidates for two vacancies — one for an associate circuit judge and one for circuit judge.
For the circuit judge vacancy created by the retirement of Judge David C. Mason, the commission reported 21 applicants.
Of these applicants, seven are female and five are minority applicants, according to the commission. Nine work in the private sector, 12 work in the public sector and their average age is 47.4 years.
“Also pursuant to Rule 10.28(d), the commission announces it will not conduct public interviews for the Mason circuit judge vacancy, as all applicants previously applied and interviewed for the Hettenbach, Mason, or Peebles vacancies,” the commission added in its release.
The associate circuit judge vacancy has 21 applicants and was created by Gov. Kehoe’s appointment of Judge Patrick E. Richmond to fill the circuit judge vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Bryan L. Hettenbach, the commission reported.
Six of the applicants are female and four are minority applicants. Nine work in the private sector, and 12 are presently employed in the public sector. The applicants’ average age is 45.9 years.
The commission will interview one of these applicants who did not previously apply for the Hettenbach, Mason, or Peebles vacancies.
