Employer-Employee-Disability Discrimination-Retaliation
Staff Report//February 25, 2026//
Plaintiff appealed the dismissal of her complaint against defendant, her employer, which alleged disability discrimination, hostile work environment and retaliation in violation of the Missouri Human Rights Act.
Where plaintiff failed to plead facts establishing that she had a qualifying disability under the MHRA, the court affirmed the dismissal of her disability discrimination and hostile work environment claims; however, plaintiff alleged sufficient facts to establish a prima facie claim that defendant retaliated against her for her complaints of disability discrimination.
Judgment is affirmed in part and reversed in part.
