Criminal Law-Drug Possession-Violation of Order in Limine

Defendant appealed his conviction for drug possession, fleeing a traffic stop and driving with a revoked license, arguing that the trial court erred in denying a mistrial when the investigating officer twice stated that he found weapons inside defendant’s vehicle, in violation of the court’s ruling on a motion in limine.
Where defense counsel did not insist on a ruling on the motion for a mistrial and did not object to the trial court’s curative instructions, defendant effectively contributed to the trial court’s alleged error, and the court declined to review for plain error.
Judgment is affirmed.
