Municipal-Ordinance Violations-Sufficiency of Evidence

Staff Report//April 29, 2026//

Listen to this article

Defendant appealed the trial court’s judgment that found her guilty of four municipal violations, challenging the sufficiency of the evidence supporting her convictions.

Although there was substantial evidence to find defendant guilty of each of the four violations, the trial court erred in imposing sentences for three of the violations where the record did not contain the municipal ordinances setting forth the penalties for those violations.

Judgment is affirmed in part and reversed and remanded in part.
