Richard B. HeinProviding legal services in the U.S., Mexico, South America, Spain and Australia, Richard Hein is principal and managing partner attorney of Hein Law Firm (heinlegal.com), an international commercial immigration law firm in St. Louis. The firm is a member of the prestigious International Law Firms — a cooperating, international organization with member firms in more than 70 cities and 50 countries worldwide.

Hein is a Rule 17 Certified Mediator, and is licensed in the U.S. Supreme Court, the Eighth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals and the Missouri State Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Federal District Court of Eastern Missouri.

Currently, he serves on the Missouri Supreme Court’s Disciplinary Committee for Region X, and on the Committee on Language Access to develop guidelines and establish measures to ensure fairness and equality under the law with respect to access to the courts for those with limited or no English skills. He also serves as secretary of International Law Firms, based in Luxembourg.

Hein has taught oral trial advocacy at the Universidad Centroamericana Law School in San Salvador, El Salvador; spoken on International Relations at the Universidad Abierta Interamericana in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and spoken on Comparative Law Studies at the Universidad Blas Pascal in Córdoba, Argentina.

He earned his JD from the Saint Louis University. He has also studied law at the Centro de Estudios Universitarios of the Colegio de San Pablo in Madrid. He served as a law clerk to one of the leading law firms in Europe, Madrid’s J. & B. Cremades & Associates.

How do you give back to your community?

I am privileged to serve as the current president of the Hispanic Bar Association of St. Louis. We are cooperating to raise funds for the Hispanic Leaders Group program, the Hispanic Scholarship Alliance, which is going to have great impact.

Who has most inspired you in your work for Diversity & Inclusion?

The incredible work ethic and dedication to their families that I see every day in our clients, who are predominantly Hispanics.
