Brian McGovern leads his firm’s litigation practice and has developed expertise in representing automobile dealers.
He was lead counsel in one of the largest class actions ever certified in Missouri involving every automobile and power sports dealer in the state. The matter arose over claims that the dealers had charged improper fees on auto purchases and were facing potential damages worth billions. The case, Perry v. Lovegreen Ford-Mercury was decertified in 2010.
McGovern also successfully defended a St. Louis County BMW dealer sued over its refusal to return non-refundable deposits. The case went to the Missouri Supreme Court.
