Mark C. Milton specializes in complex tax resolution for individuals and small businesses navigating issues with the IRS and state taxing authorities. Milton began his career as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Tax Division in Washington, D.C., representing the IRS in federal courts nationwide.
He founded Milton Law Group in 2017, leveraging his government experience to provide comprehensive tax resolution services. As co-counsel, Milton successfully sued the City of St. Louis regarding earnings tax refunds during COVID-19, resulting in over $40 million returned to taxpayers. He chairs the annual Summer Tax Summit, bringing together IRS officials, federal judges and leading tax practitioners. Milton serves on the board of governors for the Missouri Athletic Club and board of directors for First Tee – Greater St. Louis.
