Susan B. Teson practices estate planning, trust and estate administration, and tax planning after 43 years in law. She retired as chief fiduciary officer from UMB Bank in March 2020 following nearly 28 years there, where she also served as trust counsel.
Since 2017, Teson has served as adjunct professor at UMKC Law School teaching estate planning and drafting. She chaired the Missouri Bar’s Power of Appointment subcommittee, which drafted the Missouri Uniform Power of Appointment Act adopted by the legislature in 2016.
Teson received her law degree from UMKC in 1982 and served as editor in chief of the Law Review. She was inducted into the Kansas City Estate Planning Society’s Hall of Fame in 2022.
