Robert Kirkland has practiced estate planning and trust administration for 41 years, specializing in high net worth client collaborations. He was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Trust & Estate Counsel in 1995, which he noted “gave me the confidence I needed to become a leader in this area of law.”
Kirkland founded the Heart of America ACTEC Fellows Institute in 2017, creating a mentorship program for emerging attorneys that has expanded to four other regions. He explained that he enjoys “working with individual clients, establishing lifelong relationships with them” and appreciates “that lifelong learning aspect of this practice.”
His leadership roles include Missouri Bar probate and trust law committee vice chair, Missouri state chair of ACTEC and member of the ACTEC board of regents.
