Elizabeth Carver began her appellate career early in her post-clerkship years, working with one of the state’s best appellate lawyers, Tom Walsh. As appellate cases increased, they became a substantial part of her practice.
As a partner at Dowd Bennett, Carver has specialized in appellate practice for more than 30 years with experience in state and federal appellate courts.
In Sun Aviation v. L-3 Communications Avionics Systems, Inc., she convinced the Missouri Supreme Court to accept transfer after the Court of Appeals had denied it, resulting in reversal of a multi-million dollar judgment.
She is one of four Missouri fellows in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers.
