Kelly Spann spent years working as a paralegal before attending law school, an experience she credits with shaping how she later built her practices around accessibility, transparency and clear communication. That foundation informed her decision to create firms where small and mid-sized businesses and families can access high-quality legal services often difficult to obtain outside large firms.

Spann owns and operates multiple firms spanning franchise law, intellectual property and estate planning. Her work includes guiding entrepreneurs through trademark protection, helping franchisees navigate complex franchise systems and assisting families with estate planning. She also regularly shares knowledge with other attorneys on trademark and intellectual property matters, providing guidance to practitioners who may not have that expertise within their own firms.

She is a member of several BAMSL sections, including Women in the Legal Profession and Solo & Small Firms, and regularly presents community education on estate planning topics such as wills, trusts and powers of attorney.
