Associate Attorney
Langdon & Emison
Kansas City

Summer Davidson is a Joplin native who had no family members in the legal profession but was mentored by local attorneys in high school. After five years in defense work, she transitioned to plaintiff’s litigation and has tried seven jury trials, leading her team’s damages work through opening statements, expert examinations and client preparation. Her psychology background informs her voir dire strategy.

Surviving the 2011 Joplin tornado deepened her empathy for clients navigating crisis. In November 2024 she delivered her first opening statement in a jury trial; the jury returned exactly what she requested — the team’s biggest win during her tenure.

Davidson serves on the board of House of Hope, a domestic violence shelter in Lexington, Missouri and volunteers at a church Prom Boutique that provided free attire to 1,327 Kansas City Metro students in one year. She is affiliated with KCMBA, AWL of Greater Kansas City and serves as Young Lawyers Co-Chair for AIEG.
