John Bodnar’s clients come to him year after year for their mergers and acquisitions.

Out of the 15 transactions Bodnar reported last year, he was the lead attorney in 12 acquisitions and represented sellers six times. He assisted his longtime client Core & Main in seven acquisitions.

Bodnar represents middle-market and large private businesses as well as public companies nationwide.

In 2014, he represented Post Holdings in its $135 million acquisition of assets from Nestle’s PowerBar business.

He’s already closing sales in 2023. He has represented M&M Wealth Management in its sale to LPL Financial, Global Import Solutions in its sale to AmerCare Royal, and Chemtron Supply in its sale to AEA.

Bodnar earned his law degree and his M.B.A. in 1996 from Washington University in St. Louis, where he now teaches mergers and acquisitions as an adjunct law professor.

Bodnar is on the management committee and securities offering committee at his firm. He is a former chairman of the firm’s associate development committee.
