Greg Minana’s defense wins on behalf of health care providers regularly appear in Missouri Lawyers Media’s annual list of top defense wins.

Late last year, he fended off an alleged $1.8 million in damages sought from a nursing facility that was sued for wrongful death after a resident died as a result of alleged neglect.

Other recent cases include the successful defense in 2021 of a doctor and anesthesiology group blamed for a woman’s death during surgery, a jury verdict in 2019 finding no liability for a woman’s death after surgery to fix her pacemaker, and a 2018 win for a group of medical providers alleged to have injured a man’s esophagus following bariatric surgery. The latter case, from Cape Girardeau County, was the second-largest defense win of that year as tracked by Missouri Lawyers Media.

Minana is a former chair of Husch Blackwell’s products liability department. He earned his law degree from the University of Missouri in 1990.
