David G. Loseman, Armstrong Teasdale

David Loseman began his legal career as a law clerk to Justice Ben K. Miller of the Illinois Supreme Court, serving from 1985 through 1987.

Loseman represents property owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in major construction projects throughout the United States and abroad, managing contract negotiations and preparations from project conception through completion. His experience includes negotiating all construction agreements for a project exceeding $350 million and assisting a health care client in the acquisition of property and negotiation of design and construction contracts for a project exceeding one million square feet.

Loseman works with AIA industry-standard form contracts, ConsensusDOCs and custom agreements, and regularly prepares contract templates, change orders, environmental and safety guidelines and purchase order terms for clients’ day-to-day use. He also has substantial experience defending and prosecuting mechanic’s lien claims and represents clients in mediation, arbitration and litigation of payment disputes. He is a member of the Missouri Bar’s construction law committee and the Illinois State Bar Association.
