Daniel Eric Blegen is a partner at Spencer Fane in Kansas City with 27 years of legal practice. After his clerkship, he trained with exceptional trial lawyers specializing in complex business dispute trials, developing expertise in complex litigation across various subject matters.
Blegen served as president of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association in 2017, following nearly 20 years of service to the organization in various capacities. He remains active in the KCMBA and focuses on training the next generation of trial lawyers. His notable trial experience includes securing victory in March 2020 in the Western District of Missouri, defeating all claims and winning on counterclaim in what became the last sitting jury trial before courts shut down for Covid. He represents clients including Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, Mariner Wealth Advisors, and J.E. Dunn Construction.
